Welcome to John Brown Elementary's website!
Message from Mr. Asher
Dear JBE Student and Parent/Guardian,
Welcome new families and returning friends! The staff at John Brown Elementary School considers it to be an honor and privilege to be a part of the academic and personal growth of our children. We are excited about the challenges, opportunities, and successes that we will face and celebrate together throughout the school year!
John Brown Elementary is very fortunate to have an outstanding, nurturing, professional and highly qualified team of educators and support staff. We are dedicated to help with every academic need of our students and foster the parent partnership in their education.
I request you visit our school often. At JBE we believe student success is a team effort; parent, family, or community volunteers are encouraged across all grade levels. We strongly encourage you to be here helping and being a part of our learning community. Please call if you have questions or concerns or visit our school’s informational and creative website. Emails and text messages will be sent throughout the year to inform parents of JBE activities and celebrations as well as District-wide information. Together we can assist your child in having a positive, successful, and rewarding educational experience.
I look forward to working with each of you as a partner in your child’s education.

ATTENTION ALL PARENTS, STUDENTS, AND STAFF OF THE LAKELAND JOINT SCHOOL DISTRICT:
We are working to increase communication with our parents/guardians. We have created a separate phone line dedicated to providing updated information to our parents/guardians. If you receive a message from the district or school, and are unable to retrieve the voicemail for any reason, call back 208-712-8144 to listen to the notification. Please save the number into your phone so it is easy accessible and recognizable on your caller ID.
We will be utilizing our Power Announcement system to send parents information during snow closures, emergency situations, and other updates on a regular basis. In order for the District to contact you, we must have accurate contact information for you and your student. If you have changed your email address, phone number, or mailing address recently, please contact your schools as soon as possible with updated information so that we may send you important notices quickly. Power Announcement has the ability to call your phone, send you text messages, and to email you. Call the district at 687-0431 if you have any questions.
Thank you for your support,
Dr. Meyer, Superintendent
